Battle of the Books Information

Parents this is just a reminder that Battle of the Books has begun.  Book lists can be picked up in the library or you can visit the library website at drycreeklibrary.blogspot.com.  For each book that your child reads, they will be earning a pin.  Students in grades 3-6 need to pass the book off with their teacher in order to earn their book button.  For students in grades K-2 you as a parent can initial their bookmark or send a note with them to give to their teacher to earn their book button.  Buttons will be given out every Thursday.  Happy Reading!

BOOK FAIR!

Welcome Back!

We are so excited to be back to school again and be able to check-out books.  We have lots of new books to read and hope you will enjoy them.  If you need to know when your child's library day is, please check the calendar link.  Students from 1st-6th grade will begin checking out books on Monday, August 31, 2015.  Kindergarten students will begin checking out books the end of September.  Battle of the Book information and permission forms will come home the week of the 31st as well.  We hope to have a great year!

Thanks to all the students who participated in our summer library program.  It was a great success!  If you didn't get a chance to turn your books in on Tuesday the 28th, please drop them off to the front office on Monday.

Floor Cleaning Has Been Postponed

The cleaning of the floors has been postponed until next week.  As a result of this, our library will be OPEN this Tuesday, July 7th from 10:00-12:00pm.  We will however now be CLOSED next week on Tuesday, July 14th.  Please plan on bringing in your books on the 7th to exchange them.  Thanks!

Summer Library!

Congratulations to our Book Drawing Winners!

We want to congratulate all the students who won a free book in our Book Return Drawing.  Just a reminder for those students who still have library books checked out, they MUST be returned to the library by Tuesday, May 26, 2015.  Books that have not been returned by that date will be considered lost and students will be responsible for the replacement cost of the book.  Please help your students remember to get their books returned!  All students who get their book in before the 26th can earn a piece of candy!
