BOGO BOOKFAIR

It's time for our Buy One, Get One Free Book Fair!  It is the perfect opportunity to stock up on books for the summer at a great price.  We will be open Tuesday-Thursday, May 7th-9th from 9am-4pm.

SORA eBook and Audiobook Library

We are excited to share with you access to our online eBook and Audiobook Library Collection.  Sora is a new app similar to OverDrive.  We have thousands of books available for use.  Sora also allows you to link books from your public library to your Sora book shelf for easy access.

OverDrive Online eBook & Audiobook Library

We are so excited to have a great new reading resource for our students.  OverDrive is a free online eBook & audiobook library.  Students can access hundreds of books in a variety of formats to download.
To access the site:

1.  Click on the OverDrive button link located on the right of our library page.
2.  Select our school (Dry Creek Elementary).
3.  Input your student ID # (this can be located on Skyward or it is also the same as your student Lexia number).
4.  Borrow a book. (Books are a 2 week loan period)
5.  Download and enjoy!

BOGO Book Fair!

This is our last Book Fair of the school year!  We hope you will stop in and stock up on books for the summer.  The Book Fair will be open:

Tuesday: 9am-4pm
Wednesday: 9am-4pm
Thursday: 9am-4pm
Friday: 9am-2pm

Battle of the Books

Battle of the Books is fast approaching for our 3rd-6th grade participants.  Battles will begin the week of March 12th.  More information on battle days and times will be sent out next week.

I Wonder?

This year we will be using the website "Wonderopolis" to discover and learn about many different subjects.  We will use it in conjunction with our library theme of "I Wonder".  Students are encouraged to explore topics of interest and share their findings with others.  Click on the link below to visit the website.

Welcome back to the library!

We are so excited for an amazing new library year! This year's theme is "I Wonder".  We will be learning about lots of Wonderful books this year.  To help kick-off our theme, we will be reading one of the Beehive Book Award books for their first visit to the library.  For students interested in participating in Battle of the Books this year, permission forms and more information will be sent out in September.

Summer Library!

We are excited to be able to offer summer library again this year.  All books will be for a one week check-out.  Children under 10 years of age need to be accompanied by an adult.  Hope to see you there!

Bioluminescence

This past week in the library we have been learning all about "Bioluminescence" and the amazing living things that use it.  We read the book Glow by W. H. Beck and did a demonstration with glow sticks.  Students were each given a glow stick to take home and teach someone else about these amazing animals.
